The end of 2009 is hurtling towards us, and work shows no sign of slowing down.. infact, I am busier than ever! Due for launch in the new year, I have gorgeous branding projects to share for new companies, some wicked work for Sony which employs facebook connect to create a truly awesome video experience for a seriously cool PS3 game, and some new purely graphical work. As always, there's still not enough hours in the day, so many ideas still waiting to be made - illustrations and visualisations, and the best Christmas present would just be a window of opportunity to create them..! Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas & a happy new year x

Left; new personal branding for 2010

To celebrate the 40th anniversary opening of their San Fransico store in 1969, GAP needed an innovative and conceptual site that communicated their rich heritage and encouraged users to interact. A journey through San Fransisco, London & Paris, I took inspiration from their original values and surroundings to create the scenes. Inspired by their pop-up stores for the event and limited edition lines, I had to convey the feeling not only from the time, but the places too, eventually travelling to Paris to photography the store Merci, where one event would be held.

Every last detail and mechanic was thought about, to create a truly immersive experience for the user - from the flocks of pigeons flying over the Carnaby Street skyline to the recreation of the classic Viewmaster device - in which we displayed images of the original store in an exciting 3D format.

With tickets to see an exclusive premiere in London's West End up for grabs, IBM express advantage customers could race against the clock in the question & answer based 'Red Carpet Rush'. Glitzy graphics and glamour in abundance, with classic cinematic gold tickets and popcorn galore!

International fashion retailer New Look wanted to bring their brand to life online, and create an engaging and rewarding site. I designed the very first online version of their magazine "Most Wanted" for the AutumnWinter season. Designs showcased the main highlights of that seasons range of clothes and accessories, revolving around the current trend palette.

Each page had a unique functionality and look, and the site overall had a dynamic, youthful feel. Articles included the ability to select products and retrive information linked into the main e-commerce site, allowing users to click through and purchase the items online, and also viewing outfit combinations.

Tying in with the AutumnWinter Most Wanted magazine, New Look also needed an exclusive competition which would allow their customers to create their dream shoe online, register their details and design and be entered for the chance to have their dream heels made especially for them.

The audience love their shoes, and are girly and glam - as is the design. It was fantastic fun to design all the elements, allowing the user to select their heel type, colour, pattern and accessories. My role was to design the whole experience - from logo, to pages, right down to creating both blank and completely finished new versions of existing New Look shoe styles to build upon. “If the shoe fits, wear it!".

Competition no longer online.
